The Future of Food

There are currently 7-8 billion people on planet earth and this number is growing exponentially by the day. As more people are born, there are more mouths to feed. Although it may seem like we are running out of a finite number of resources, many of our greatest contributions to science and technology over the next decade will make it possible to feed even more.

By 2050, we will start facing major foot shortages without being able to use less land and less water. Currently, there are plenty of scientific methods under way that will allow us to live in a more meaningful way with less of a footprint on our planet.

The Biotech Revolution

Biotechnology is making big strides in the world. Some experts believe biotech is reaching a point where it is growing 6 times faster than most traditional technology industries. This is a boon to whomever is in the biotech world.

This also includes things like food. The first synthetic Hamburger was developed in 2014 and although it cost $330,000 to produce (making it far too expensive to systematize) it is drastically becoming less over time.

The vast majority of people who are using these kinds of scientific experiments are looking for the opportunity to make big changes. Indeed, these are the types of changing that are paying off in dividends and it is worthwhile to continue utilizing them.

New Technologies and Frontiers

Even though these new technologies and frontiers are making it possible to conceive of more, there are things going on already. Many producers of whey protein aim for grass fed and nondenatured, which make a big difference for health.

The vast majority of people who are utilizing these new technologies make it possible to stay healthy and also not feel like things are too “out there“. Many people object to the expensive way food is becoming a part of our daily lives. The vast majority of people who eat food find it’s healthier to do so in a way that is going to make a difference.

Keep an eye out for many of these technologies, which will begin to change the world over time.
